Testimonials

Misch and Han HeartSpace

My daughter Mischa is 19 years old and lives with autism, anxiety, intellectual disability and sensory processing disorder. Hannah has been part of our lives for the past eight years, and I can honestly say she has been life-changing for our family.
It began as piano and singing lessons solely with Hannah where Mischa was given wonderful opportunities to perform in eisteddfords, in-house concerts, and spend time doing what she loves most - singing and performing on stage. Over time, Hannah also became Mischa’s support worker, providing care and support whenever needed, this is when Mischa began to attend HeartSpace school holiday program throughout her school years and absolutely loved the variety of activities offered, including singing, dancing, theatre, swimming, playground time, and community outings.
Since graduating from school, Mischa now attends the HeartSpace day program three days a week. It has provided her with opportunities to build friendships with other young adults while continuing to develop valuable life skills such as cooking, cleaning, literacy, numeracy, and job readiness skills for possible future supported employment.
I cannot recommend Hannah, Harry and the HeartSpace team highly enough. They are some of the most nurturing, accepting, understanding, and genuinely caring people I have ever met. Mischa absolutely loves being there, and the positive impact they have had on her confidence, independence, happiness, and social connections has been invaluable. We are so grateful for everything Hannah, Harry and her team continue to do for our daughter and our family.

Jeff HeartSpace

Heartspace has been one of the best things to happen to our family in a very long time. Having worked in the disability sector for more than 30 years, while also parenting a teenager with a disability, I have experienced many different programs over the years - and Heartspace genuinely stands out above the rest.

After graduating high school last year, my son felt lost and disconnected. He was unhappy, and the programs he trialled simply did not feel like the right fit for him. A close friend recommended Heartspace, and from my very first conversation with Hannah, I had a strong sense we had finally found somewhere he truly belonged.

Since joining, the change in my son has been incredible. He is happy, has formed meaningful friendships, has a renewed sense of purpose, and genuinely looks forward to attending each week.
What makes Heartspace so special is the genuine care and compassion they show to every individual and family.
Hannah, Harry and their team are experienced, supportive, and they truly listen.
There is no pressure or "hard sell'" - just authentic people who are passionate about making a difference.

Seeing my son head off each week feeling confident and excited brings me enormous peace of mind. I know he is safe, understood, and supported with kindness and respect.
It truly feels like an honour to be part of the Heartspace family.
